Coaches and Staff
Stanly County Gymnastics is proud to have a well trained and certified staff that are devoted to the growth and development of each and every child.

Holly Pennell
Owner / Director
Holly is a Team and Recreational coach. She is a former level 10 gymnast and national competitor. Former director of gymnastics and level 1-8 coach in Hillsborough, NC. Holly taught English as a Foreign Language in both Taiwan (1 year) and Chile (2 years). While in Chile, Holly coached gymnasts levels 1-9 at Club Deportivo Manquehue in Santiago, Chile. She has been coaching gymnastics for 22 years.
**USAG Professional Member Safety Certified with background clearance and CPR/First Aid certification
Paige Isenhour
Manager
Paige is the proud mom to two children, one of which attends SCG classes. She is a Team and Recreational coach. She has been coaching gymnastics for 13 years and has been the gym manager for 9 years. Paige has an extensive knowledge in Early Childhood Education and has also worked within local daycares in Stanly County. She was a dancer for 15 years studying all ranges of dance from ballet to ballroom.

Whitney Tucker
Office Coordinator
Whitney is the proud mom of two kids, one of which is a member of the competitive team. In addition to her office work, Whitney is also a Team and Preschool Rec coach. She has experience with teaching in a local preschool program and applies her experiences here at SCG. She took gymnastics here at SCG as a young child and now enjoys a healthy and active lifestyle and finds great joy in helping others do the same.

Shay Young-Haas
Front Desk Manager
Shay is our smiling face at the front desk and the mom to one of our newest competitive team members on the Boys Team. Shay has been in customer service for the past 20 years and has been with SCG for the past 9 years. She is willing to help with any and all questions.
Lindsay Ridenhour
Girls Rec Coordinator
Lindsay is a Girls Rec coach and coordinator. She grew up in Stanly County and took gymnastics at SCG as a child. In later years she attended NSHS where she cheered JV for one year & varsity for three years. She is a trained yoga instructor. She's a mom of two boys, one of which is on the competitive team, and a homeschool administrator. Her absolute joy is working with children.
Jessica Bowers
Little Stars Coach
Jessica is a Little Stars preschool gymnastics teacher. She is the momma to two, fun-loving gymnasts here at Stanly County Gymnastics. When they are not here at gymnastics flipping around they are spending time as a family, serving at their local church and in their community.
Salem Dietz
Front Desk Coordinator
Salem is a proud mom of a competitive gymnast here at SCG. Salem is a smiling face you will see at the front desk when you come in & a teacher in our SCG Homeschool Program. She loves to spend her free time at the beach or with their horses.
Ava Singletary
Girls Rec & Team Coach
Ava is a former Optional competitive team member & high school cheerleader. She has been a gymnast for over 10 years & coaching for 4 years. She's continuing to work with our students through her college journey.
Ella Cumming
Girls PreTeam & Rec Coach
Ella is a former competitive team member & has been doing gymnastics for 11 years. She is a pre-team coach & class instructor. She attends Gray Stone Day School & is an active member of her church.
Camdyn Plyler
Girls Rec Coach
Camdyn is a Girls Rec coach. She is a former member of our Competitive Team where she competed at the Regional Level. Camdyn is an honor student at Gray Stone Day High School.
Elin Bowers
Girls & Boys Coach
Elin is a current member of the optional competitive team and competes at the State and Regional Levels. She coaches recreational boys and girls. Elin is currently studying to become fluent in Spanish. She enjoys working with her church and doing humanitarian work abroad.
Jatelynne Lee
Girls Rec & Team Coach
Jatelynne is a former member of the competitive team and has competed at the State and Regional Levels. She is a varsity cheerleader at North Stanly High School. She coaches both recreational and competitive gymnasts.
Joannah Gariety
Girls Rec Coach
Joannah is a Girls Rec & summer camp counselor. She began her journey here at SCG as a student several years ago. She attends Stanly Early College where is pursing a career in cosmetology.
Jaquelin Ferrer
Girls Rec Coach
Jaquelin is a former competitive team member that competed at the State & Regional levels. She is a recreational coach & summer camp counselor. She is an honor student at North Stanly.
Jade Huneycutt
Girls & Boys Rec Coach
Jade is a Girls Rec and Boys PreTeam coach. She is a former member of our Optional Team. Jade attends South Stanly High School, where she is an honor student and member of the cheerleading team.
Brooklyn Jarrell
Girls Rec & Team Coach
Brooklyn is a former member of the competitive team and has competed at the State and Regional Levels. She coaches both recreational and competitive gymnasts.
Lillian Carter
Girls Rec & Team Coach
Lillian is a member of the competitive team and has competed at the State and Regional Levels. She is currently in our homeschool program here at SCG & studies Spanish as a second language. She coaches both recreational and competitive gymnasts.

"It's time to say farewell to all of my wonderful staff, students, parents, and the gym I birthed some 40 years ago. I have loved teaching my students, my babies, and my Kips Team. What a fun ride it was. I want to thank you (3 generations) for trusting me with your children. They always want to succeed and learn all they can. I shall never forget you. I take great comfort in Holly knowing that she will continue the traditions of SCG plus adding her own wonderful style. So long!"
